As an actor, I’ve performed in roles ranging from Sally Bowles to Richard II.
I played Jacob in the European premier of Oliver Page’s queer screwball comedy, Mating in Captivity, at King’s Head theatre and Brighton Fringe; also Marcus in Candid Broads’ web-series, Call It a Day. I performed in two European tours with the English Theatre Company for young audiences (ranging 3-21) and improvised regularly with the semi-scripted troupe, They Don’t Know the Half of It.
Whilst acting is no longer something that I pursue professionally, it informs everything I do, and I find myself writing more and more about what it means to be a performer, how to embody storytelling, and those moments of emotional grit that emerge when two people play together on a stage.
